Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What day will my lawn be mowed?

Once you’re signed up, we’ll set your mow day based on what works best for you. If that day ever stops fitting your schedule, just let us know and we’ll switch it.

How often will my lawn be mowed?

Pick whichever cadence suits you, every week or every other week. After signup, you’ll get a schedule built around that choice.

What mowing schedule is best for my lawn?

For most lawns, weekly mowing during the growing season gives the best results. A less frequent schedule can work too if it fits your budget or watering situation better. Just keep in mind that letting grass grow too tall between visits can lead to clumping with our mowers, so weekly from April through October is usually the sweet spot.

How is the price determined?

Punch in your address and ZIP code on our pricing page, and we’ll calculate a price based on your actual lawn size. Happy with the number? Go ahead and place your order. We’ll double check it on our end and only reach out if anything needs a second look.

When is the mowing season?

Regular mowing runs March through November. Once winter hits, everyone shifts to a lighter schedule automatically, and you’ll get that updated calendar around mid-November.

Can I get service in the off-season?

Definitely. Once the regular season wraps up the week after Thanksgiving, you’ll move to a winter schedule at your same rate. Our mowers still clear leaves and winter weeds, and you’ll get a winter calendar in mid-November. Want to pause instead? Just call or text. You can still book one-time mows or cleanups whenever you need them. Most winters land around four mows total.

Do you offer other services: fertilization, tree work, shrub trimming?

If you’re an active mowing customer, our bush and bed crew is available on an hourly basis. Looking for fertilization, weed control, or tree work? Give us a call and we’ll connect you with a trusted referral.

My lawn is overgrown. What happens?

Anything between 6 and 12 inches counts as overgrown. Just call our office and we’ll talk through the best way to handle it. Once it’s past 12 inches, our regular crew usually can’t take it on, but we can often bring in a different crew that can.

How does payment work, and what if my card is declined?

We charge your card on file the day after each mow, and it may take a few days to show up on your statement. If a payment doesn’t go through, we’ll text you and try again before your next scheduled visit. Still no luck? You’ll hear from us by email, text, and phone. If it’s still unresolved by the next mow date, we’ll pause service until it’s settled, and we’ll keep attempting payment for up to 8 weeks before the account closes on its own.
